By now we have heard the story about the four year old child who fell into the enclosure which eventually exposed him to the Cincinnati Zoo’s endangered Silverback Gorilla. If you’ve haven’t yet seen the video (which would be shocking in itself) do so now.
There’s been blame thrown around every which way from the zoo, to the mother of the child who was in charge of his safety and everything else in between. This is why I’m here. Stupid as it sounds there is blame to spill everywhere and to everyone who’s involved in this situation. Because of that very fact I will simplify blame right here for you in a classic power ranking styled post. 1. The Zoo The very fact that there was that much access for a animal (an endangered species by the way) like that is without question absolutely idiotic and the Cincinnati Zoo should be held accountable to the fullest extent. I don’t care that prior to last weekend there was never an incident that’s taken place — that was a lawsuit waiting to happen. Common sense should tell you or anyone for that matter there there should be at least three levels of borders that separates/protects the gorilla, the customer and another in the middle in the event one of the two parties were to compromise the other. Seems pretty simple to me. Apparently not. 2. The Mother Regardless if it takes just a quick second to turn away before something can happen, you would assume being in a public forum that the parent would be much more aware to what your child is up to. It takes a literally second for fucking sicko to kidnap a child. I do not believe for one solitary second that the mother was turned away for only a second. In fact I can almost guarantee that wasn’t the case. Either that or you have a very undisciplined child which then ***ding ding ding***still falls on the parent. Who knew. Get off your stupid selfie sticks, lay off the SnapChat and pay attention to your kids. 3. The Child: The kid is 4 years old. By now he should know basic right or wrong. Don’t tell me anything else different. My 3 year old knows not to compromise himself into a situation like that. Not bragging. It’s just the truth. Bad parenting if you ask me. Sorry, definitely not sorry. 4. The Gorilla Sucks he had to get killed due to idiotic human error but if you’re arguing that the kid’s life doesn’t come first then you’re just as delusional as both the zoo and the mother. Just a shame that we have many dumb people on this planet who do not embrace the idea of common sense. My rankings are perfect. You’d be insane not to agree with this. For the record I do agree the Zoo made the correct decision in shooting the gorilla in exchange |
