Who the hell is this guy?

Who the hell is Tom Perez?

Here is what we know.

He served as the Secretary of Labor under President Obama from 2013 - 2017

He is a die hard Buffalo Bills fan (sheeesh that's got to be torturous).

He loves Democrats (obviously).

He's the father of three.

He fights for the middle man.

More importantly -- he is the new face of the Democratic Party as he narrowly defeated Keith Ellison to earn that title.

Perez says he will unite and and repair the Democrats.

Well he has alot of work to do.

This is a Democratic party I have been railing on as far back as the Presidential primaries last spring and said that it needed an entire face lift. Even if Hillary Clinton had beaten Donald Trump in November, I would've still held the same stance. It's just wouldn't have been as dire on the surface since it would've held the White House.

But they don't.

The fact that Donald Trump won the presidency in shocking fashion (even though it shouldn't have been much a shock if you paid attention) forced the Democrats to look into the mirror.

They were part of the problem.

They were the ones that lost touch with their core values.

They were the ones that didn't campaign in the rust belt during the 2016 election which ultimately became their undoing.

They are the ones that took their voting base for granted.

They are the ones equally as responsible for providing the very path for Donald Trump to become to 45th President of the United States as Donald Trump's base.

Now personally, I don't know much about Tom Perez. But I did see him on Bill Maher a few weeks back and got a very good impression of him.
