The Strength Of Ten: Week 5 NFL Power Rankings (2018)

If you follow me on social media via. Facebook or Twitter you’d know that I've been out of commission the last five days. Both myself and my two young sons have been bitten by the flu bug which caused me to put the podcast on complete pause for the entire week. Even worst I wasn’t able to get these rankings out on time as I typically do on Tuesdays.

​So for that here are this week’s Week 5 abbreviated NFL Power Rankings.

1. Los Angeles Rams

Jarrod Goff is officially in the MVP discussion early on.


2. Kansas City Chiefs

Mahomes Magic is real. Unfortunately the Chiefs defense is not and it could bite them in the butt later on.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars

Big test for the Jags defense this Sunday in Kansas City.

4. New England Patriots

For one week anyway they silenced the doubters. Let’s see if this becomes the normal trend we are so used to from Brady and Belichick.

5. New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees is chasing history and Alvin Kamara is also in the early MVP conversation.

6. Carolina Panthers

Real early bye week didn’t change anything here.

7. Chicago Bears

Could be easily 4-0. LB Khalil Mack is in my top 2 MVP discussion.

8. Cincinnati Bengals

A somewhat surprising 3-1 record with some impressive wins under their belt.

9. Baltimore Ravens

Maybe the class of the AFC North when it’s all said and done.

10. Minnesota Vikings

This week in Philadelphia will tell us all we need to know. Impressive showing in a loss to the dominant Rams.
