Week 1 is in the books. We are left with just as many questions entering the season as we are leaving the first week. The one thing I will say in regards to the first week of any season. We are all guilty of overreacting. Myself included. Hopefully these rankings do not reflect too much on that. Unfortunately I feel like most wont agree.

On with the rankings

1. Philadelphia Eagles

The fact they were able to escape a pretty bad Nick Foles outing speaks volumes for this team future once they get Carson Wentz back and healthy.

2. Los Angeles Rams

After a shaky first half the arms dominated all facets of the game on Monday night and showed the scary signs of a team that’s on paper the best in all of football.

3. New England Patriots

Brady. Belichick. Rinse and repeat

4. Minnesota Vikings

Solid debut for Kirk Cousins. Very good team win against a sorta upstart Niners teams that’s still trying to figure themselves out.

5. Kansas City Chiefs

One week in I think they are the second best team in the AFC. Lots of football to be played but Pat Mahomes looks like the real deal.

6. Jacksonville Jaguars

If Blake Bortles was even 20% better than he is now I can make a strong case that the Jaguars are the best team in all of football. Their defense is incredible.

7. Carolina Panthers

It wasn’t the prettiest win over Dallas but with the Saints and Falcons stumbling early this is the early break they needed to get a leg up in the division. Big matchup against Atlanta this week.

8. Green Bay Packers

Epic comeback for Aaron Rodgers. On a larger scale I am very concerned about this team.

9. Atlanta Falcons

They are a really good football team. They are also are not mentally tough. All the talent to win a Super Bowl. Something has to give.

10. Baltimore Ravens

It’s not that they beat the worst team in football. It’s that for the first time in ages the Ravens looked like a complete team on all sides of the ball. Could be scary in the weeks to come.
