Had every intention of podcasting today the final Power Rankings with 'Boston' Jack on the Football show today but I was afflicted with catching a cold by one of my kids. MY throat is scratchy and my voice sounds pretty hoarse so I decided to do these rankings solely in written form. It really sucks considering these are the last rankings of the season. I really enjoy doing them every year. I especially love the back and forth with everyone on social media who mostly disagree with my position also. But that is what makes it the most fun as well.
Anyway cheers to the 2017 NFL regular season. Your last "The Strength Of Ten" NFL Power Ten of the season courtesy of Earnestly Speaking Media. 1. New England Patriots (13-3) LAST WEEK: SAME #1 seed in the AFC. The clear cut favorite to not only win the AFC title but to win the Super Bowl as well. 2.Minnesota Vikings (13-3) LAST WEEK: SAME They are my absolute favorite ti win the NFC title. Plus the biggest storyline of the postseason - - can host the Super Bowl in their own stadium should they make that a reality. 3. Pittsburgh Steelers (13-3) LAST WEEK: SAME Would feel alot better about the Steelers if I know Antonio Brown was healthy for the postseason. 4. Los Angeles Rams (11-5) LAST WEEK: SAME Benched most of their starters in Week 17 so it’s truly hard to get a gauge on them. Can only go based on Week 16. Still the most dangerous team in NFC playoffs in my opinion. 5. New Orleans Saints (11-5) LAST WEEK: #7 Won the NFC South even while losing in Tampa due to Carolina’s inconsistent play. Many people like them to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. I just do not see it. 6. Kansas City Chiefs (10-6) LAST WEEK: #9 Ended the season on the 4 game win streak. Was it enough to forget the mid season slump? We’ll have out answer in the coming weeks. 7. Carolina Panthers (11-5) LAST WEEK: #6 Which Panthers team shows up Wildcard Weekend? Better yet, which Cam Newton shows up? 8. Atlanta Falcons (10-6) LAST WEEK: UNRANKED One of the hardest teams in the NFL to get a read on from week to week. 9. Philadelphia Eagles (13-3) LAST WEEK: #5 You can make a case that right now even as the #1 seed in the entire NFC they may actually be the worst of the six postseason entries. 10. Jacksonville Jaguars (10-6) LAST WEEK: #8 Do not like how they ended the season especially with Blake Bortles regressing the final two weeks. |
