Everyone assumed Week 2 presented a weaker entree of matchups. Yet there was more intrigue than people gave it credit. We learned some about certain teams trying to make cases for competing at the top of their conferences and possible down the road the playoff picture. Still a long way to go and very little shake up to my Top 4 but again, we are much too early into the season to be stressing about positioning right now. I especially don’t need to hear more incessant amounts of bullshit coming from the biased Big Ten and ACC fanatics. The SEC is back in a big way. Deal with it. 1. Alabama
Another week. Another dominant Alabama effort. Albeit against another inferior team. But most importantly they did cover 37.5 points against Arkansas State which is ultimately all that matters. Next week against Ole Miss will be their first test of the 2018 season. 2. Georgia The more I watch them, the more I’m inclined to put them in that elite conversation with Alabama and Clemson. I was so impressed with their performance in South Carolina that I had to give them #2 recognition. Definitely the most impressive performance of the weekend. 3. Clemson For personal reasons I would’ve preferred that Clemson beat down Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M. But I did forget how tough environment College Station can be especially for a game as big as last night’s was. That said Clemson was a two-point conversion away from possibly losing. I had to penalize them a little. 4. Auburn If you have a problem with me putting three SEC teams in my Fab Four, honestly that’s a you problem. Either your are biased or you don’t watch enough college football to realize these four teams are perfectly placed. Auburn’s schedule moving forward will speak for itself. For now they are right where they should be. THE OTHER 6 5. Wisconsin 6. Oklahoma 7.Ohio State 8. LSU 9. Stanford 10. Notre Dame |
