1. Clemson - Defending National champs and arguably faced the toughest schedule of the four teams.
2. Oklahoma - Win and in scenario next Saturday against TCU. The Sooners have the Heisman favorite and a inside track at not only clinching a playoff berth but likely one of the top two seeds. Then again does anyone care about seedlings at this point? I know Alabama fans don’t tonight. 3. Auburn - Exactly three weeks ago on the Unfiltered! Podcast I stated that a two-loss Auburn team controlled their own destiny and were the most dangerous team in the top 7. So far all they have done is beaten #1 Georgia then two weeks later beaten #1 Alabama. Still in must win next week in their rematch against the Bulldogs but they are riding so much momentum right now it’s hard to bet against them. Only legitimate concern I would have is the late game injuries sustained by their two running games during the Iron Bowl. 4. Wisconsin - I told Badger fans for weeks — so long as you do your job everything will work itself out. But it’s not over just yet. Still has to win the Big Ten title next weekend over Ohio State. No shot does a 1-loss Wisconsin team get in the playoff. That’ll open the door for Alabama actually. The consequence of a weak schedule. |
