Taking A Brief Hiatus

Time to recharge the battery and the bandwidth.

For most of you that have followed my work for the better part of the last 6 years whether it's through the podcast that I started in August of 2011 or through other publications/platforms I worked with know that around this time of year is when I typically take a step back and break away from all things media. Sometimes we need to breathe. In fact I will go further and say that it is encouraged that we all take a step back to check the pulse. See what's going on in the world around you. Even with the things we most value and love.

As you all know I have two podcasts (for now). One that I have committed to doing five days a week which for the record you all should check out and get on board with (shoutout to Bumpers). I also maintain a website with fresh, original and authentic content. But most importantly on top of the list I have a wife and two young boys ages four and soon to be four months who rely on me to still stay on top of my daddy duties.

To put it bluntly, this shit is real life.

So for the next two weeks I'm sorta shutting things down. Sorta. The ONLY thing I'll be committing to during this break is my Game Of Thrones weekly podcasts that I have really enjoyed doing with Darrel Wilson. By the way y'all need to get in the "Thrones Talk w/ D-Wil" discussions every week. It's straight fire.

Aside from that -- no Daily pods for a bit. Little to no writing on the site. It will suck and hopefully there isn't some huge breaking news that happens within this break that it forces me out of hibernation to react to it all. But upon my return I will be better, stronger, an even more focused EJ.

This is the sacrifice you make when you decide to run your own media forum. On my own, by me, for me, hoping others appreciate the perspective I continue to spill into the world. Whether it's one person or 1,000. I'm all in.
