Reaction to 2018 College Football Playoff

1. Alabama v. 4. Oklahoma
2. Clemson v. Notre Dame

The Final Four is set and I am more than satisfied with the four teams selected as well as how they are ranked.

Now are they the best four teams in the country? One can argue no. I certainly think Georgia has a strong argument especially how well they performed vs. Alabama in the SEC title game.

But they also have two losses as well.

At the end of the day we have to come to grips with the fact that the college football selection process is nothing but subjective and the only one way to truly fix it is a true playoff system.

8 teams.

16 teams.

But it will never happen.

Well maybe an 8-teamer will be the limit but I’ll be perfectly honest, I love the 4 team process right now. And everyone who complains otherwise but also bitched that the old BCS system was trash is only strengthening the argument that the BCS did actually work.

For the sake of insanity let’s take appreciate the crumbs that the otherwise crooked NCAA has given us even though in the end they are the only ones profiting off of free labor against these young men.

We will get an 8 team playoff eventually. It’s destined.
