I don’t want to make this sound heavily political cause I honestly I’m not trying to. But I am so ready to put the Trump years behind us. For the record this isn’t a endorsement for Joe Biden. This is an endorsement of a return to normalcy and civility and that ultimately does start at the top of the ticket. As someone who’s obsessed with American history and the traditions that surround it, even though I did vote for Joe Biden in November, I am someone who holds the Office of the President at a high regard. That does not mean I idealized the individual holding the seat. Whether it’s Barack Obama, George Bush, Bill Clinton and now Joe Biden I respect the office first and foremost. I respected the office for the last four years when Donald Trump was also seated and hell despite not voting for him, I damn sure gave him a fair shot. Ask my wife. She’ll tell you I probably gave him more leeway than I should’ve. We have learned a lot on the last 4 years. Some good. Some not so good. I’m just ready to turn the page. I don’t want to add to the negativity and throw in a “Good Riddance” towards former President Trump cause quite frankly that’s really not my style and honestly at this point it’s just not as productive to add fuel to a fire that’s already scorching as we officially had the transfer of power. Plus if we really want to get back to some kind of pre-Trump normalcy, it’s time for people like myself to set the tone and be the example within my own environment. Regardless of partisan leanings. Regardless of political persuasion. In the end we are Americans. Most of all we are humans who only get one shot at this thing called life. Let’s not fuck that up. |
