Time for my weekly written purge of randomness and truth. ARE. YOU. READY? Probably not. Oh well, I am off and running. •Pitchers and catchers report in less than a month. Can you feel the excitement?
•Kind of annoyed at the rumors about LeBron James and his “camp” pushing for Los Angeles Lakers coach Luke Walton to be shown the door. Say what you will but considering that he’s been out more than a month and has had to manage a roster that most of the best players have not been available so far this season, maybe LeBron James for one stinking time put a fucking cork in it and let the dude coach. •I can’t believe at age 38 that I still prefer tea > coffee. •The Miami Heat are back to playing like shit again. I don’t like it. And the trading deadline is merely a few weeks away. •I miss writing. I need to write more. Just find me the time. •Whether good, bad or stressful, I love my family. My wife and two boys are my life. My world. I’d take a bullet for them. Without question. •It’s time to trade Antonio Brown away. I know this may be negative financial ramifications for the Steelers but the locker room ramifications to me seems even larger. •I highly recommend to everyone watch the Fyre documentary on Netflix. It focuses on a young entrepreneur Billy McFarland who concocts an idea to put together an exclusive music festival name Fyre Festival in the middle of the Bahamas in an effort to promote his Fyre app. The problem is the entire thing falls apart due to lack of preparation, ego and even criminal activity regarding of course money. Consumers were duped upon arrival. Don’t want to spoil the entire thing but it’s such a fascinating watch. Yes, we love when the filthy rich go down. In case we definitely love that this ingrate McFarland went down. •I don’t have an official Super Bowl Prediction as yet but right now in the moment I am leaning towards the Patriots. Might even be rooting for them. Well, mainly Tom Brady. Hard to hate that guy. He gives 100% game after game with nothing more to prove yet is diabolically driven. •Need to grind this season. Money to make. Family to support. Foundation to create. •I love social media. Yet I am strongly considering after the Super Bowl to taking a little break from all social media platforms. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I love them all. Maybe a bit too much. Focus more on family, books and self. Balance is always healthy. Time to embrace it. •The Christian residence has never-ending laundry. It’s annoying. But it must be done. •The wife and I were planning on doing our first annual Oscars special on my podcast once we found out the movies up for best picture. Then we found out the date of the Oscars. It’s just under a month away. With our work schedules and us barely having anytime to binge our favorite shows, let alone the movies, we may have to shelve the idea till 2020. Oops. •Thank God the government shutdown is done. Temporarily, yes. Least both asshole political parties can get back to "compromising" on a stupid border wall that in my humble opinion is a waste of money. Let me be clear before some of you go nuts. I am all for border security. 100%. But give me concrete numbers and proof that a actual physical wall would curb the illegal immigration problem in this country and I will be sold. Till then, quiet. •Just ran through a marathon of 3 episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience totaling nearly 9 hours over the weekend. Killer Mike, Bari Weiss and the incomparable Mike Tyson. With Respect, EJ. |
