Monday Morning Notepad

•No matter what happens during Game 7 of Heat/Pacers Eastern Conference Finals, one thing is for certain in my eyes….this Heat team currently constructed cannot succeed as a viable championship roster unless Riley and friends come to terms with addressing their size issue. This series vs. Indiana has absolutely exposed the Heat’s small ball theory (which I never fully bought into) and with Indiana as the quintessential new kid on the block in the East and a possible return of Derrick Rose and the big bad Bulls, Miami is a team seemingly on the run…CURRENTLY CONSTRUCTED. Win or lose, it might be time for the Heat front office to stay ahead of the curve THIS summer and start the necessary transition to 2014 and beyond. We have all summer to predict what may happen and you know I will be giving my personal opinions on those so stay tuned.


•Anyone truly prepared for the possibility of a Spurs/Pacers NBA Final?



•I’ve already discussed my LeBronWade/Bosh/Heat 2014 theory with close members of my family. Yup, even we are panicking a full year out. When did we all of a sudden forget to trust Pat Riley?


•FYI….can Chris Bosh give me at LEAST double figures scoring tonight? Placing an over/under at 11 points for CB1 for Game 7.


•Starting to feel comfortable with the idea of saying Tony Parker may indeed be the best PG in basketball. No disrespect to Chris Paul. Ok maybe a 1B to a 1A CP3 then will suffice?


•It was a beautiful thing to see my NY Mets complete a 4 game sweep the (not really hated) but (I’m really jealous of ya) Yankees. However in typical Mets fashion they return the favor in getting swept by the worst team in baseball. Life as a Met fan. Oi vey!


•I haven’t watched a minute of this season’s Game Of Thrones so PLEASE…..no spoilers to my twitter friends. I already see y’all on there with your OMG’s and shocking tweets tied up in 140 characters.

•This is going to be such a long summer. My Mets stink. Football seems so long away from here. There really isn’t any notable blockbuster hitting theatres this summer to look for. Well at least I do have the final season of Dexter to look forward to. Well that and ‘The Dwightmare 2.0″


•Not making a big deal on the Roy Hibbert “No Homo” comments except the fact that it was not the smartest thing to say especially on this platform. Don’t get me wrong, the kid is feeling himself in many ways and I cannot blame him. Still I’ve always had an issue with that term anyway. It’s not only in some ways insensitive, just in general it is ignorant. It’s ignorance masked in the form of acceptance and I for one do not tolerate it….joking or not.
