A Picture Can Speak Volumes

Whenever I look at this picture of former President George W. Bush and now former First Lady Michelle Obama so many singular words becomes etched into my brain. 

Love. 

Respect. 

Cordial.

Sacrifice.

​Weird.

Adorable. 


I can probably think of a few more adjectives. 

Now call me crazy but this picture in some weird way gives me hope. That no matter whatever political leanings me, you or anyone may have, we the people can overcome those differences and still bring everything back to the center of sanity. In my case I am pretty lucky that the friends (and some family members) that I do have a difference of opinion and/or different political leanings with, it is never held against me nor each other. 

It's called being an adult. 

Considering the political landscape we are now in, it seems like stories such as President Bush being very open and expressive about his affection for Mrs. Obama is and has become very rare.

Instead we continuously get bombarded with a vicious cycle of  political points of interest being dissected over and over and over again.

​Regardless of whether it benefits you or me.  

And that is unfortunately -- fucking sad!

But I am still hopeful. I am hopeful political rhetoric does not continue to divide this country I do love with all my soul.

Sadly I -- AND -- we have alot of work to do.
