MEET EARNEST CHRISTIAN
In an attempt to sound not too overly professional yet totally coherent let me introduce myself.
Hi. It's me, Earnest Christian. Some call me Earnest, EJ, to many (thanks to my mom). Very few call me Ernie (trust me, it doesn't bother me like you think it does).
Once upon a time I was a musician. Still love it. One day I will get back to playing. A bassist by the way -- preferably hard rock/metal music. Since then the last decade or so has been dedicated or re-dedicated back to curating media in some kind of way. I use to brag as early as the early 90's (man am I old) that I was blogging on sports long before blogging became mainstream before the turn of the millennium. I've written and contributed at places such as SB Nation, where I covered the Miami Heat for Hot Hot Hoops and NGSC Sports. I also at one time co-authored my own publication from 2012 - 2014 called "The OpinioNation" which focused mainly on gathering likeminded and expressive individuals to use the platform to use expression as a art form whether it was sports, pop culture, or the works.
My biggest passion in media though is through the digital sphere. I sometimes feel like the platform of podcasting was created especially for people like me. I've been podcasting on a regular basis since 2011. Once upon a time a sports only show, the Earnestly Speaking Podcast has transformed in recent years into a "sports adjacent" or variety media platform. From sports, to politics, lifestyle, music and more -- I love not only sharing but learning and conversing with interesting people across all aspects of life. I also regularly appear on many radio and podcasting platforms like ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio and other individual publications and stations across the country.
Most importantly I am a husband and a father of two awesome boys.
